Reply with quote | #1 | Hi everyone, this is melanie (aka mellymel or lit chick). This is my new message board. I am hoping you will feel more comfortable posting here and that we can have more of a discussion than the regular blog format allows.
This is a trial run. But I would love for it to work out. So come on in and please say hi!

Reply with quote | #2 | Hiya...I guess I've been approved. I need to start a book. I've been catching up on mags the past couple days and I'm debating which heavy read to start next!
This looks like a good format. I might have to read one of the discussion books though! Kate |

My name is Jill, and I read too many books. I also check email way too often through the day, waiting for thrilling messages, reminding myself of the world of grown-ups... heh, heh. __________________ jill hunt |

Reply with quote | #4 | Hi!
I'm Elizabeth, and I don't read enough books : ) Well, I'm always reading, but feel like I never have enough time to read all the books I want to read.
I just finished reading Love Is a Mixed Tape and I loved it. It's always hard for me to pick the next book after reading one I loved, because I don't want to give it short shrift. Which is why today I will probably read my new Real Simple and decide tomorrow what the next book will be

Reply with quote | #7 | glad you're here Allison. i've only finished one book in the last 10 days. it's like a word drought.
if esme isn't doing it for you, move on. esp. if you don't have a lot of time...grab a quick read or like e, a magazine.
welcome. |

Reply with quote | #8 | Hi, I'm Katy and like Elizabeth I don't read enough books. Apparently, as an adult I have become quite a book snob. I can't make myself finish a book I'm not enthralled with... if the story doesn't get me I skip ahead a few chapters. Still nothing? read the end or call it quits. Bad book-fan, bad bad. I do love a good story though, sometimes frankly it doesn't even have to be well-written to get my attention...but it must be a good story. |
